Feather Falls Hike
I took Monday off to head up outside of Oroville to Feather falls. It is the sixth highest waterfall in the US and well worth the drive/hike it takes to reach it.
Video of the falls from a lookout.
It is hard to tell from the video just how large these falls are. After checking it out from across the canyon I hiked around and climbed down onto the rocks next to the mouth of the falls. The area gave me a bit of vertigo feeling as i inched down to get a close look of the drop.
I would love to go back and pitch the hammock up top near the falls to spend a couple days but that will have to wait a few months until I can get out and about again.
